Notice of General Election for Municipalities

 

The general election for three (3) council member positions and Proposition A for the reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the City of Caney City at the rate of 1/4% to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets will be held on May 2nd, 2026. Notice of Public Hearings

 

The City Council of the City of Caney City, Texas, will hold public hearings on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM and on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Both hearings will take place at the Fire Station, 15241 Barron Rd, Caney City, Texas to consider the proposed ordinance. At which time all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. The hearings will consider the proposed ordinance related to regulation of short-term rentals that will amend the current zoning ordinance, 2016-02 REV.A Zoning and Related.

Notice of Early Voting Roster

 

The early voting clerk shall maintain for each election a roster listing each person who votes an early voting ballot by personal appearance and a roster listing each person to whom an early voting ballot to be voted by mail is sent. The list must include, at minimum, the name, VUID, and precinct number for each voter. Each roster shall be updated daily. Information on the roster for a person who votes an early voting ballot by personal appearance shall be made available for public inspection not later than 11:00 a.m. on the day after the date the information is entered on the roster. Information on the roster for a person who votes an early voting ballot by mail shall be made available for public inspection not later than 11:00 a.m. on the day following the day the early voting clerk receives a ballot voted by mail. The clerk shall preserve each roster after the election for the period for preserving the precinct election records. (Sec. 87.121). The voting roster is linked below.
